University of the West of England Visit

The class took a trip to visit the UWE buildings at the St. Matthius site. We were taken on a tour of the buildings, given an overview of the courses offered at the university and given a free lunch!

But that wasn't the best part... the class were then split into smaller groups after going to a sample lecture in their chosen subject.
  • Media Practice
  • Media and Cultural Studies
  • Film Studies
  • Journalism
  • Drama
  • Creative Writing
Have a look at the courses available at:

Share your experiences of the trip and your sample lecture underneath...

'Casualty' Filming

An exciting opportunity arose when 'Casualty' came to look at BMA as a shot location. The director, set designer and recky manager came to talk to our class and give advice on how to break into the business. The class were invited to be extras on the set and to get a glimpse 'behind the scenes'. A big well done to Hannah Innoles, Jenny Albinus, Michelle Brown-Brine, James Wilks, Megan True and Lucy Evans who did an outstanding job representing the class on set.

The 'Casualty' episode will screened on Saturday 26th February 2011 at 8:00 on BBC1. Check it out!
